Where I found Tank Saturday Evening

Whew! I found Tank laying up with the cows in a bed of hay Saturday evening. He looked quite unusual laying there surrounded by all the calves, and quite out of place. The other horses were off a ways staring at him, and me. So, I walked over to him in the pasture and tried to coax him to stand up. Instead, he just made deep grumbling noises. I finally got him to get up and realized that he was in trouble. Right behind his right front hoof was a cut of some sort. I was able to get him into a pen and get the Vet out to see him. Dr. Helen Phillips came out and doctored him up and left him wrapped up. He'll be out of play for a few weeks until this wound heals. If I hadn't found him when I did, he'd have gone the way of Pippin.
